The Medical Volunteer Team
The Medical Volunteer Team’s purpose is to provide medical support in emergency situations that might occur during the Canoe Journey. Doctors, RNs ARNPs and PAs are encouraged to volunteer! (There are additional Medical Response teams being organized by the Red Cross and the Medical Reserve Corps.)
Hours and Location
The Medical Volunteer Team will work in 6-hour shifts beginning Monday, July 25 through Sunday, July 31. The Medical Team will be situated in a tent in or at the Health Clinic, but medical volunteers will all need to check in at the Health Clinic. NOT at the gym/Youth Center with the rest of the volunteers.
Application Process for Medical Team Volunteers:
1. Email the Heath Clinic at bclure@swinomish.nsn.us to see if there are any slots still available.
2. Complete and Submit:
- Consent for Reference and Background Check
- Certification/Licensing Checklist and supporting documents
Hard copies of the above form(s) can be obtained at the front desk of the Tribal Administration Building, the Tribal Social Services Building, Shelter Bay, La Conner Library and La Conner Chamber of Commerce.
