The Food and Meals Volunteer Team will assist in ensuring that food is correctly prepared and served. Some volunteers will also be needed for clean-up and setup. Training will be provided for those positions requiring food handler’s permits. Check the website calendar.
Hours and Location
The Food and Meals Volunteer Team will work 4 or more hours per day during Canoe Journey, divided into 4 – 6 hour shifts beginning Monday, July 25 through Sunday, July 31. Volunteers will need to check in at the volunteer site before starting work.
Training Requirements
Training will be required for some of these positions. A training schedule will be provided on the calendar here.

To get a Food Handler’s Card please take one of our free classes at the Youth Center scheduled periodically on the calendar here. Or stop by the health department, and watch a 30 minute video before taking a 32 question multiple-choice test at the Skagit County Health Department, here, which is $10.
